Kireedom Audio may release in 2-3 weeks time.

Yesterday, I saw the interview of G.V. Prakash in Sun Network. He said audio should be out in a time span of 2-3 weeks.

Ajith dons Boopathy Pandian's Raja Vesham

[NOTE: This news has nothing to do with "Kireedom", But important contains information Ajith fans.]

Boopathy Pandian's latest hit Thiruvilayadal Arambam has elevated his status among the numerous producers of the industry who are competing with one another to rope him to direct their films. Initially he had promised to do a film for Lingusamy's production house.

But a story narrated by Pandian is said to have enticed Oscar films Ravichandran who immediately agreed to fund his forthcoming film 'Raja Vesham'. Like his all other previous projects, this film also will be a hardcore comedy which is undoubtedly Pandian's forte.

After Kreedom and Billa 2007, Raja Vesham will be the next in line for ultimate star Ajith for whose fans the film is certain to provide a welcome change from serious element to comic relief. As regards Ajith, Raja Vesham is bound to be a mile stone in his film graph as he is donning an outright comedy role, perhaps for the first time in his career. Villain Ashish Vidyarthi who had always terrorized people with his high octane and intimidating demeanor will have a total image make over as a comedian in this film.

Ajit completes `Kireedom`!

Ajit has completed the entire shoot, except some minor patchwork of Kireedom. What more proof is required that Ajit is not only hard working but dedicated to his work?

Today, the actor is a complete professional, who hardly talks but delivers. It is almost certain that Kireedom will release on May 1, his birthday. The producers Suresh Balajee and Adlabs are happy that they could wrap up such a big project in less than three months.

The buzz is that Kireedom may turn out to be a big hit, as it has the right mix of entertainment and family sentiments.

Meanwhile, Ajit's next film to be directed by director Vishnuvardhan will start rolling from April end. Vishnu is already humming two tunes composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja for Billa, which he feels is rocking.

Vishnu is planning to start the shoot in Malaysia from April 5, in some of the most exotic, never seen before locales. The new Billa will have a chic look given by Nirav Shah, the hottest cameraman in Bollywood after that glam show in Dhoom-2. Vishnu will have his regular team of veteran editor Sreekar Prasad and choreographer Kalyan.

Sivaji, Mayakannadi, Kreedom ready to ignite Chennai screens Clash of the films this summer

Temperatures are bound to be on an ascending scale this summer in Chennai with twin fevers of world cup cricket and new movie releases grappling the city. Collection of the films released during this period wholly depends on the performance of Indian cricket team.

The men in blue commenced their first match against Bangladesh with an abysmal performance which triggered a nationwide tirade against the players which they rightfully deserve. Eventually hopes have begun to lurk around the corner after witnessing their improved feat albeit against a small nation on the 19th of March. This victory has proved successful in luring people belonging to all age groups to cricket. In the event of India entering ‘super eight’ league there would not be any dearth for excitement. Youth population will be tied to their television screen or cricket related website oblivious to their daily constructive chores. Hence the role that cricket plays on the commercial success of a film cannot be ruled out at this juncture.

When it comes to new releases, it is almost finalized that super star’s Sivaji will hit the screens on the 12th of April amidst a charged up atmosphere. Of course, there cannot be two opinions on the euphoria and the excitement that is likely to be generated for any Rajinikanth’s film. Any amount of sweltering heat cannot deter a Rajini fan from thronging to the screens to watch his idol’s film. Sivaji is expected to be released in around 15 city theatres like Sathyam, Mayajal, Inox, Abirami, Udayam, and Devi in addition to small screens like Thiruvanmiyur Thyagaraja, Koyambedu Rohini and Jafferkhanpet Kasi.

Let us look at other films which are vying to compete with Sivaji in Chennai screens.

Cheran whose sole apprehension rests with the quality of his film is totally unmindful to all the worldly excitements. He has a history of releasing his slow moving Thavamai Thavamirundu amidst a commercial pot pourri of Sivakasi and Majaa and proved a point to everyone by recording a triumphant victory. Hence the release of Mayakannadi for this Tamil New Year does not come as a surprise. This only goes on to prove his ample faith on the taste of Tamil audience.

Mozhi and Paruthiveeran also would be in the fray during this summer when they will be marching to a hundred day mark. Vijay’s Pokkiri may feature in a few screens then. Ajith’s Kreedom will be released on the 1st of May coinciding with his birthday in many theatres of the city.

Hence it will not be an intelligent move to screen English, Hindi or any other language films during this summer which is going to be very hot as far as Chennai is concerned.

Kireedom - Ajith comes all guns blazing

Ajith will have his Kireedom release this summer amidst huge expectations. Directed by debutant AL Vijay, the film stars Ajith, Trisha, Vivek, Saranya, Cochin Haneefa and Raj Kiran in significant roles. Inspired by a blockbuster Malayalam film of the late 1980s starring Mohanlal of the same title, Kireedom is an action based family entertainer.

Ajith plays an ordinary young man who loves his family and aspires to become a police officer. Trisha plays his love interest and is a college student. Raj Kiran plays Ajith's father and an upright policeman. He aspires to see his son become a top cop one day. Raj Kiran and Ajith, it is said, shared a tremendous rapport during the shoot of Kireedom. The movie is set in a small town in Tamil Nadu. A tale of father-son sentiments, the movie has Saranya playing Ajith’s mother. Ajay Kumar, a debutant from Hyderabad plays the villain. Vijay has shot the film extensively in Vishakapatinam, Rajahmundry and Chennai. Says Vijay, "It is not really the remake of Malayalam film Kireedom. Just the theme is inspired by the movie."

"Working with a seasoned actor like Ajith for my debut film is a great experience. He was very co-operative and has contributed his best. His dedication and commitment to excel in the role deserves special mention," adds Vijay.

GV Prakash (AR Rahman's nephew) has come up with five catchy songs for the movie. The young music director hogged the limelight after a successful debut in Veyyil. Thiru has cranked the camera, art is by Selva and editing is by Anthony. Kireedom is expected for release on 1 May, 2007 coinciding with Ajith’s birthday.

Kireedom - Exclusive shooting round-up

After a Week rest, Ajith was back to Kireedom shooting. The shooting was helded in various places of Chennai for the past 2 weeks. Theya are choosing the shooting spots in random manner. Because the crowd that gather to see Ajith is increasing day by day.

The shooting spots include:

1. A house near mylapore sanskrit college
2. Thiruvotriyur
3. Nandanam YMCA
4. Ennore
5. Perambur Billy Mills
6. Mount road DMS

The shooting spots are kept so secret. Only after finishing the works at evening, shooting spot for the next day is annonced to unit members.

Let us see some interesting incidents that took place during the chennai shoot

  • In shooting at Thiruvotriyur, a scene involving Ajith and VMC. Haneefa was shooted. The scene was about Ajith has to cry "Yennai vittudungada....Naan ippo rowdy illa....Thirunthi vaazhanumnu aasa padren". The unit saying that Ajith's performance is outstanding in that scene.

  • Another news is that Ajith requires some rest. He was not suppose to act more than 10 minutes because of backpain. So he is taking 5 minutes rest and continues acting. He has not shown even 1%, before the camera. Even the co-artists are wondered and feel pity. We thala should take some rest after Kireedom.

  • There are 10 bodyguards for Thala to protect him from crouds. Once in the shooting spot, crowds gathered and started crushing him. The body guards started attacking them. Ajith get tensed, shouted and scolded the body guards and ordered them not to touch any of his fans.

Amazing Kireedom Wallpapers

These are some amazing Kireedom wallpapers designed by friend Prasadh, an Ajith fan of course. I on behalf of all the Ajith fans like to thank him for the visual treat.

Great work, Prasadh!

"They are also humans" Ajith exclaims!

It is more "Amarkalam" than the Ennore Duraimugam case. The people of North Chennai Coast Kuppams had collected in large numbers. They were shouting slogans like "Thala...Thala...Thala...", the crowds response for Thala was full of Kala Kala Kala, so we also became one along with the crowd. A few distance away, with youthful, jubiliant and with "Attakaasam", Ajith was doing fighting stunts. According to Corporate rules, Mumbai Adlabs being into Cinema production along with our Sujatha Cine Arts produced movie "Kireedom", the scene was of exciting Action-cum-Climax.

There were 10 rowdys who came charging in front, and Ajith who came running with speed and fighting them without any dupes, Ajith is full of Youth and Enthusiasm.

During the breaks, Ajith saw us and asked us "Hello Boss! How are you doing?" and greeted us. "Okay Boss. You know my Policy. I shouldn't talk much. Only my movies will do the talking and this is my decision. WORK MORE, TALK LESS. You said this to me before. That's why I have cut down on my talks. Otherwise, "Kireedom" has shaped up very well. It is a Romance, Comedy filled Jolly movie. I have spoken a lot. So, if you want to know anything more, then please talk to our Director Vijay. We will meet later", Ajith said these and started going.

Debut Director Vijay explained the what are the next shoots to be done and came.

"It is a very emotional, action, romance filled natural story - it will be like seeing "next door family" with a moving lively story. Generally, all will have a life ambition to become like this, like that, with big big dreams in their minds. If that is not achieved, through their children, they would like to get it achieved and that wish will be there in all the fathers. In the same way, Father Rajkiran, will have a desire to see his son Ajith, on how he is going to shapes his son's life. Will this desire get fulfilled? This has been shown with emotions.

Ajith is a job searching youth with the name "Shakthivel". Trisha is the Rousu Party, College Studying student. The "Lub-Dub chemistry" between these two has worked out superly. Surely, romance scenes between these two will be a trend-setter. This will be a new type of love in tamil cinema with the lovers clashing and dashing in the signals and turning into a jam in the Mottai Maadi (Open Terrace) area. For the first time, Trisha has also done comedy superbly. The slapstick comedy which she has done will make you laugh with your stomach shaking.

Truly, Ajith is the one who has managed all the burdens and acted in Kireedom. He looks smart and cute all through out the film and has shined very well. I am a new director and all the directors like me should get Ajith, that is my desire.

From the first day itself, when I went to tell the story, He made me to sit, he himself served the food to me, all these things made me very happy and breathless.

Ajith hesitates to show out his good things by saying its his own personal things, whatever it is, during any time, the one thing which he doesn't hesitate to show is the RESPECT and AFFECTION TO ALL (Manidhabimanam). One fight scene. This fight has to be done in the rains. That time it was cold. Due to that, I asked to get Hot Water for Ajith and I said to pour it on him and act. He took the Hot Water and poured it on him, after that, he asked the other fighters to come. Then for all of them, one by one, from his own hands, he poured the Hot Water on them. "They are also like we humans. Cold and Hot are one and the same for the Poor and the Rich. They won't change according to the person. If it is cold for me, for them also it will be the same. With our difficulties atleast, we should try to understand others difficulties. Even though our minds forget to see these many time, but when we see it, we shouldn't go as if unnoticed!" said Ajith. At that place itself, he broke the secret of star value which we were seeing it with astonishment." Vijay said these with emotions and astonishment and was getting ready for the shoots.

Ajith got backpain - very serious, news got started? Reporters ask

"Those were all started. It was an ordinary backpain. We told Ajith that we can postpone the shooting if we want. "No. Because of me no one should get affected" said Ajith. Inspite of this, I only told to pack-up. Next second day itself, Ajith came back with more enthusiasm than before. Without any dupes, Ajith did the fight scenes with smashing excellence. "This is Ajith. This is the Truth" said Ajith.

After the break, again Ajith came back to the spot, that time only Trisha came. By saying "Hi Pulsar", Trisha gave a affectionate look to Ajith. "What look? Did you eat? What is it if you give a look like this in top gear?" Ajith said these with a grill. The spot came to life with Kala Kala.

Okay what is this Pulsar? After saying this Ammani is giving like that type of look....we asked as usual

"Oh...that one! In the film, Trisha chases me and loves. For that only, our director Vijay has given a pet name for Trisha as Pulsar" said Ajith by glancing his eyes.

We started by saying "Our pulse only increases by seeing the Pulsar".

Picture 1 caption - What a glance, your glance (enthan paarvai, unthan paarvai)
Picture 2 caption - Don't speak while going by bike (Vandiyil pogumpothu paesavae koodadhu)
Picture 3 caption - I have told what is your pet name know (Unnoda pattap paeyar ennaennanu sollitaenla)
Picture 4 caption - Are you disappointed that I didn't pour Hot Water on you? (Unakku vennir oothalaiyennu varuthamma?)

Raj Kiran - Ajith's Father

Ajith after a complete rest has resumed the shoot of Greedam. Sources say, ajith shoot for scenes without stunt sequence as he is adviced by the doctors to stop acting wild for next few months. Probably Ajith will finish the stunt sequences by May and the movie is expected to hit the day of light by July.

The interesting information about this movie is, Raj Kiran acts as Ajith's father adorned with Tight Jean and T-shirt. He is cast in the role of an upright police officer.

All the movies of Raj Kiran are hit where he plays a father of young heroes. The same formula will work out here aswell.

We are gonna see Raj Kiran in a new mould in Greedam.

Kireedam: A cover story

Kreedam is jointly produced by Sujatha cine arts and Adlabs production. Ajith’s widely expected movie of this year is Kreedam, because his last film Alwar didn’t make any progress so Ajith looks very keen on Kreedam. Stunts are the major plus for the Kreedam, in many sequences Ajith has voluntarily performed in many stunt scenes by avoiding dupes.

In Rajamundari, Ajith & Villan Ajay kumar stunt sequences was shot by the Director for more than 20 days, and another stunt scenes took place in Chennai BMC Mills, for this shot art director Selva Kumar has erected huge sets for the fight scene. In a fight sequence in Vizag, the director has organized 20 people from Kutupatarai to act in stunt sequences. Debutant, director Vijay is fully involved to make a full-length action movie with introducing special effects, especially for stunt sequence he brought Akila crane along with 435 High-speed cameras to shoot the stunt sequences so you can sense the originality of the stunt performance on screen.

Stunt are the major highlight of the movie, at the same time the director has given equal importance to song sequence too. Music is scored by GV Prakash "Vizhil Un Vizil Vandu Vizudan Anda Nodil" song was shot by director in six different costumes in hot-spot locations in Vizag. Other parts of the scenes which involves Trisha and Ajith taken place in and around Vizag, and the director brought huge star cast to feature in the film which will again gain another weight age to the film, Actors Rajkeeran, Saranya Comedy actor Vivek, Deva Darshni Lalitha, Hanifa & Villan Ajay Kumar and one Marathi actor Ravi kella also featuring in prominent roles in the Kreedam.

Rajkiran as Ajith's father

february 21, 2007

After doing 'Thavamaai Thavamirundhu,' Rajkiran made a decision not to do bad guy roles.

Because of this, he lost many opportunities. He turned down the offer to do the villain role in 'Sivaji' which is now being done by Suman.

Rajkiran is acting now in 'Muni' and 'Kireetam.' In the latter, he plays Ajith's father, a police officer. The role is suitable for his decision to do good guy roles only.

While the rest of the policemen run away in fear of the local goondas, Rajkiran catches one of them and thrashes him up in the middle on the road. In retaliation, the chief goonda beats up Rajkiran and Ajith steps in to attack the goonda.

In the original Malayalam version, Tilakan did the role being done by Rajkiran. Since shooting is going on at a fast pace, it could well be released soon.

Ajith, the workaholic

February 19, 2007

Ajith is a thorough professional.

And these days, with him being very reticent, his work seems even more pronounced.

Ajith, it maybe recalled, had to be rushed to the hospital during the shoot of Kireedom. He has a history of bad back and apparently that flamed up again.

But after the mandatory checks and resting for a few days, Ajith didn’t want to prolong his rest.

Despite some strong advice to take it easy for some more time, Ajith is back again shooting for Kireedom.

Ajith, who just recently drove to Vizag in a car just because he couldn’t get a flight ticket and did not want the film crew to suffer because of his absence, wants to finish Kireedom early and take up Billa under Vishnuvardhan soon.

Now, that clearly shows what a thorough professional Ajith is.

Kireedom stars Ajith, Trisha, Saranya and Rajkiran. The story is about a strong and philosophical relationship between a man and his son.

Ajith's Kreedom nearing its completion

February 17, 2007

Ajith starrer Kreedom is nearing its completion and the latest is that the shooting is to get over by 15th of March and the post-production work would start. The crew is planning to release the movie on May1st, birthday of ultimate star Ajith. If not they would release it by the first week of May.

Readers would remember that Kreedom is the remake of Malayalam movie with the same name that had Mohanlal winning the national award for his performance. Will Ajith follow the footpaths of Mohanlal. We have to wait for the first week of May. Also Kreedom in Malayalam had a sequel to it. Named "Chenkol" was released after the success of Kreedom and had the same cast. Will the same happen in Tamil? Only the success of the first part would decide.

Ajith returns to shoots

February 16, 2007

Ajith is back in scene. News has it that he recovered from the backache he sustained during the shoots of Kreedom in Vishakapatnam that led the director call off the shoots. Ajith was flown to Chennai immediately and later was admitted to Apollo hospitals.

After undergoing medical supervision in the hospitals, he was further advised to take bed rest for a week.

Now that he has recovered, the shoots of Kreedom are resumed and scenes involving Ajith, Trisha, Saranya, and Rajkiran are being canned in Chennai. We learnt that the precarious stunt scenes of Ajith that induced his backache would be shot only after Ajith is completely recovered.

Nanda creates trouble for Ajith’s Kreedom

Feb 10, 2007

Though suffered a slight setback owing to Ajith’s backache, Kreedom is said to be well on track. The shoots are expected to spiral back into action after Ajith’s recovery. Directed by A.L. Vjay, Kreedom is the remake of the Malayalam movie by the same name.

Interestingly, the Malayalam Kreedom ends on a tragic note and is followed by a sequel named Chengol.

Would a tragic end be entertaining enough for the Tamil fans? It is not clear as to what the director would decide about the sequel. It remains to be seen whether the Tamil Kreedom will combine both the Malayalam movies (Kreedom and Chengol) into a single package.

On the other hand, the storyline of Nanda starrer Agaram is rumored to have followed the footsteps of Kreedom. Wrapped up and ready for release, Agaram might as well receive resistance from the Kreedom stable and it is expected that the producers of Kreedom will demand for a screening of the movie before it hit the screens.

Ajith fans on sms campaign

Thursday, February 08, 2007

As soon as the news of Ajith falling ill while shooting spread, his anxious fans have started an SMS campaign urging their friends and well-wishers to pray for the speedy recovery of the actor.

A section of the press had carried reports a couple of days back that the actor had suffered acute pain after shooting for a stunt sequence for Kireedom at Visakhapatnam.

The news spread like wildfire and anxious fans even gathered in front of his house in Chennai.

It may be recalled that Ajith underwent several operations in his back after sustaining injuries in a motor race a few years ago.

Meanwhile, Shalini (Ajith’s wife) clarified on Tuesday that it was a minor injury and it is nothing to worry about. She said he would join the sets of Kireedom very soon.
